Harbour Insurance Team’s Annual Restaurant Guide

By April 15, 2023September 28th, 2023No Comments

Every year we put together our Harbour Insurance “Locals” restaurant guide.  These are places we like to go when we want to get away with friends and family to relax and have a nice meal.  We hope you enjoy our recommendations.

And for those still working on Hurricane Ian claims (I am one of them at my home) and you need us to try to move along a claim or just need help understanding a settlement that you received please reach out to me.  I am sorry we are all going thru this.  We are here to do the best we can to help you with your claims.

Fort Myers and Cape Coral Area

Stephanie- Daruma’s.  Being a Fort Myers/Cape Coral local, if you’re looking for good hibachi and fun entertainment, head down to Daruma’s in Fort Myers! They have a variety of menu items, and a delicious sushi menu.

You will leave stuffed but not disappointed!

Karyn- Ceno Grille.  Our favorite place to dine out is Ceno Grille in SW Cape Coral.  It is a small place, and the food has never disappointed us.  My husband loves the grape leaves and I love the Veal Francese. Dinner with a nice bottle of Malbac, a perfect evening.  Every time we go the owner, George, stops by and has a chat with us. The staff is always top notch!

April- Ember Korean Steakhouse in Fort Myers – A unique experience where you can feast like a king/queen.

Jessica- The Nauti Mermaid.   A great date night escape is in South Cape Coral inside The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village.  Their outdoor seating is top notch for a colorful sunset. My favorite dish is the Fresh Catch which is truly fresh,  paired with a Mojito.

Sue- McGregor Café on McGregor Blvd, Ft Myers…totally worth a Saturday morning drive…outdoor seating and “dog” friendly…terrific staff…get there early (as there is a wait during season)…Order and salivate in their Quiche of the Day…made with eight eggs in a spring form pan…you are in heaven..

Naples Area

Cheryl- Thai Udon.   My new favorite place is Thai Udon in Logan’s Landing (Immokalee & Logan Blvd). My 10-year-old saw it and wanted to go. We fell in love with the service and the amazing food. While eating there she learned that guacamole and wasabi are not the same thing and I learned that special lunch dates with my daughter are priceless. I highly recommend the Massaman curry and Thai iced tea.

Tracy – The Real Macaw.  My wife and I always enjoy the experience at The Real Macaw in the Bayshore Arts district. 30-year-old “hidden gem” that has weathered time, hurricanes, and change gracefully.  With live music, dishes to suit every palate, and a unique Key West atmosphere, the Real Macaw is a little piece of paradise!

Paul – USS Nemo.  Once a year we treat ourself to a decadent dinner of Miso Sea Bass at USS Nemo at 3745 Tamiami Trail N, Naples, FL. Just a short walk from our office. Very unique seafood menu with some options for the meat eaters. Reservations are highly recommended!

Ashleigh – Industry Pizza. I do not treat myself to Pizza very often, but when I do I order from Industry. You cannot really dine in, the space is super small, but well worth the time it takes to drive there and pick up the order. They offer all the classics, but they also have many options where they have taken a classic and added a special twist. My personal favorite is the Roni-Roni: Detroit style pizza topped with pepperoni, pepperoni arrabiata, ricotta, mozzarella, hot honey and fresh Basil leaves. They never Disappoint.

Rebecca- Z’s Music Kitchen. The menu is small but the food is tasty. The live music is always great. They have a nice outdoor spot as well where they have music in nicer weather. I love the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Fun spot and good food.

Trish- Mr. Tequila on U.S. 41 North near High Point (close to the Harbour Office).  Great Mexican food along with great and fast service.  The Queso Fundito is so bad for you but so good (melted queso fresco, sausage and jalapeños) Yum!

Shirley- Alberto’s on Fifth – 868 5th Ave S, Naples, FL.  This is my favorite “special occasion” restaurant in Naples.  Food is delicious, staff is friendly and helpful, the wine is chilled just right and the olive bread is heavenly!  Locals are welcome!

Kelly- Joey D’s on the corner of Immokalee and Airport Pulling is my favorite is also a local favorite. Always consistent with their super quality and service.  There is nothing to avoid on the menu (other than any food allergies) but my absolute favorite is penne with bolognaise sauce … and I NEVER forget to order garlic knots!

Will-  The Franklin Social. I enjoy having a drink at The Franklin Social on Pine Ridge and Airport Pulling Road.  It is a cool indoor / outdoor bar where you can relax and spend time with friends.  The Harbour team recently went out there after work and we had a great time.

Coral Springs Area

Lee- Casa Sensei  One of my favorite restaurant’s would be Casa Sensei on Las Olas Blvd in Downtown Ft. Lauderdale. The restaurant menu is diverse and combines Pan Asian and Latin Dishes which are all made fresh and authentic as possible. They also have sushi and offer a separate brunch menu on weekends. The restaurant serves complementary kimchi popcorn as a sit down appetizer and house made gourmet cotton candy for dessert. If you’re looking for something fun and different, give Casa Sensei a try.

Anita- La Pizzaria. In Coral Springs, on Sample Road and 441. Our favorite local Italian. Food tastes homemade, yummy. Very authentic. You can make a whole meal out of their garlic rolls and salad.

Stephanie- The Taco Project at the Walk in Coral Springs. This place recently opened and it is a great little find! They have authentic, as well as outside the box, Tacos, Burritos, Salads etc, all done with the freshest of ingredients. A great meal that won’t break the bank!
