Hi Harbour Clients and Friends:
Every year I ask the team in Naples and Ft Myers offices for their local recommendations to eating out. This year I asked our “Remoters” for their recommendations in the towns they live in. About 20% of our team is fully remote living thru the great State of Florida. I hope you enjoy our recommendations.
Verginas on 5th (Naples)
Always one of the best Happy Hours on 5tth Avenue! Order before 4:45 and the food menu and certain cocktails are 50%. Their Manhattan cocktail is “deadly good”, and the Salmon entrée is delicious…Reserve a table outside and embrace the great food and people watching! – Sue R
Fancy’s Southern Cafe (Fort Myers)
The chicken and waffles are so delicious. My husband loves the shrimp and grits, and the appetizers would be the fried green tomatoes and deep-fried cheese grits! They have a singer in the loft and the atmosphere is always fun! – Karyn F
Crisp Creperie in Cape Coral (Cape Coral)
It is an authentic French restaurant operated by the couple that own it. The food is exquisite and the attention to detail with every dish is very impressive. My favorite dish is the ‘Jambon Classique’, and my husband and I share a sweet crepe called ‘Blanche’ for dessert. Add the House Made Vanilla Ice cream to elevate the experience! – Jessica P
Biscotti’s (Avondale or San Marco)
I am a remote agent living in coastal Jacksonville/Ponte Vedra Beach, if you’re ever in town you must eat at or their sister location B.B.’s, just over the bridge in San Marco. Both locations have an amazing wine selection, the best craft cocktails sourced with local spirits, don’t miss out on the crab benedict served during weekend brunch, and their dessert counter is an absolute must on any given day. -Adrienne
Louisiana Lagniappe (Fort Walton Beach/Destin)
I am a remote acct. mgr. living in Fort Walton Beach, Fl if you’re ever in the Fort Walton/Destin area I highly recommend Louisiana Lagniappe. Long established Seafood restaurant with a Creole flair. My personal favorite is the blacken scallops finished in a pineapple-rum sauce. – Steph B
Mellow Mushroom (Estero)
I like going there after the FGCU basketball games with the family. Fun atmosphere & good pizza 😊- Emily Albertos on 5th (Naples) If you want a feel of a “local” restaurant on 5th Ave- this is it. Very good service, great chef and Italian food. It also has a really nice choice of fish too. – Will
Yacht Club Subs (Naples)
I highly recommend The Emerald Bay Sub: Layers of sliced avocado, Granny Smith apples, tomatoes with creamy brie atop green leafy lettuce splashed with a raspberry vinaigrette. A croissant takes it to the next level! Best sandwich ever! – Shirley G
Crabby Lady (Goodland)
It may be more about the adventure to get there by boat or car. When we arrive in Goodland, we always head to the Crabby Lady. You’ll know you’re on Island time when you walk in. Most seating is outside along the Marco River. A local musician or two will be playing an island soundtrack and a friendly waitstaff will be ready to serve your favorite beverage to get the experience started. For starters we always go with the Blue Crab stuffed shrimp. Then move to the main Catch of the Day prepared blackened. Of course, you have to finish the experience with a piece of their homemade Key Lime pie. Paradise in our backyard! – Tracy C
Texas Roadhouse (Naples)
I love this restaurant. Everything about this place is exceptional. It is a very comfortable and laid-back atmosphere. The food is absolutely phenomenal – the best I’ve ever had. My favorite dish is a steak dinner cooked medium-well, with a baked potato (butter & pepper) and green beans for the sides. The green beans are even seasoned with tiny bits of bacon mixed in. The draft beer is ice cold and served in a tall frozen mug. Try not to fill up on the delicious bread before your food is served! A must try, 10 out of 10! – Nick S
Cheeks Bar and Grill (North Fort Myers)
New spot on the water with roots going back to Sanibel Island. Former owners of Sanibel’s Tipsy Turtle – Great atmosphere, delicious food, amazing entertainment. -April
Lowbrow (Naples)
Lowbrow is my favorite pizza joint. I’ve literally had pizza all over the world including all over Italy and Lowbrow is still my favorite. They have woodfire pizza cooked to perfection. Cortez the killer is my go-to. Love it. The atmosphere is local and fun. Sometimes they have live music. And all the beers are from local breweries. – Rebecca
Grimaldi’s (Fort Myers)
Around this time most are giving up on their New Year’s resolution ‘health kick’, head down to Grimaldi’s in Fort Myers for some New York style pizza where it’ll be 1000% worth it! – Steph S
Goldies (Naples)
Great biscuits and gravy, daily breakfast and lunch specials, great soups, great staff. – Trish
